The SEM functions in a fully automatic way as conventional boiler (Flow temperature controlled) and warms up the water in the heating-circuit (or in a heat reservoir). Simultaneously it produces electricity that may be used locally or fed into the public grid. Subject to contrary feeding rules, the SEM may be directly plugged into a power socket and thus may be integrated into the electric net very simply.

The system shows following technical data:

ParametersValue
Electrical power (after deduction of the own consumption)approx. 1.2 kilowatt
Total operating efficiency (without use of the exhaust heat / gross calorific value technique)> 90 %
Electrical efficiency
(electrical output/combustible)approx. 18 % (25 % planned)
Thermic power (Stirling process an additional burner)5 kilowatts (Peak performance planned to 15 kilowatts)
Process mediumHelium
Mean pressure35 bar
Upper process temperature650 ºC
Lower process temperature30°C- 60 ºC
